What is a passing Virginia SOL score?

Pass/Proficient and Pass/Advanced are passing, and for now so is a temporary level, Pass/Approaching. In 3rd grade Reading, the levels are Fail/Below Basic (0–408), Fail/Basic (409–417), Pass/Approaching (418–443), Pass/Proficient (444–501), Pass/Advanced (502–600). The cut scores are different for each grade and subject.
