Frequently asked questions
When are summer program applications due?
Each program sets its own deadline, and some fall months before summer. Each program page shows the deadline, and labels it when only last cycle’s date is available.
Are there free summer programs for high school students?
Yes. 23 of the 94 programs here charge no tuition, and some pay a stipend.
Can you help with a summer program application?
Yes. A Dewey Smart mentor can help a student choose programs, plan the deadlines, and work through the essays. Book a free call to start.
Each program was read from its own official site. A date or fee the site has not posted is left blank. Last checked 2026-10-09. Dewey Smart is not affiliated with these programs.
