About the program
USABO is a biology competition for high school students in the United States that reaches nearly 12,000 students a year. Students register individually after their school registers.
Students take two rounds of online exams. The top 20 finalists compete to represent the USA at the International Biology Olympiad (2027 IBO in Warsaw, Poland, July 18-25, 2027).
