SMS Messaging Terms

The program

Dewey Smart operates two separate recurring SMS (text message) programs: transactional messages (appointment confirmations, reminders, and account alerts) and marketing & promotional messages. These are two distinct opt-ins — checking one does not opt you into the other. Dewey Smart is the sole sender of these messages.

How you opt in

You opt in by entering your mobile number on a form at deweysmart.com — the consultation booking form, our free-tool lead forms (such as the SAT diagnostic and college-list builder), or the contact form — and checking the box(es) that apply to you.

Transactional messages

“I consent to receive transactional text messages (Conversational/Alerts, Appointments, and Booking Confirmations) from Dewey Smart at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

Marketing & promotional messages

“I agree to receive recurring automated marketing & promotional text messages from Dewey Smart at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

Consent to receive either kind of text is optional and is not a condition of any purchase. We do not send a given kind of text unless you check the corresponding box.

What we send

Transactional: confirmations and reminders for a booked consultation, and account-related alerts.

Marketing & promotional: promotional offers on our tutoring and admissions services, program and event announcements, links to free resources, and invitations to book a free consultation.

Message frequency & cost

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out & getting help

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive one confirmation and no further messages. For help, reply HELP, email support@deweysmart.com, or call (866) 773-7191.

Privacy

Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared or sold to any third party.
