Dewey Smart provides high-quality virtual tutoring and test preparation services delivered by near-peer tutors—current college students at top universities or recent graduates. Our tutors are carefully selected to ensure they are knowledgeable, relatable, and passionate about helping students succeed. We offer packages of hours for personalized tutoring in various subjects, test prep, and admissions counseling, as well as products like internship matching to support students in advancing their academic and professional goals.

Refund Policy :Dewey Smart does not offer refunds for tutoring, test prep, or admissions counseling packages once purchased. All packages are for a specific number of hours that can be used by any student within the same family. If you are dissatisfied with the service or tutor, we can match you with a different tutor to better meet your needs. Please contact us within a reasonable time frame to request a change.

Shipping or Delivery Policy: All services provided by Dewey Smart are delivered digitally, and there are no physical shipping requirements. Upon purchase of a tutoring package, we will pair you with a counselor within 3 business days. Your first onboarding session can be scheduled immediately, and the session will be conducted within 1 business day of the initial pairing. For any inquiries or service-related questions, we respond within 24 business hours. Please note, we require at least 24 hours’ notice to facilitate scheduling.For internship matching services, once we have received your resume, we will begin the matching process with potential businesses. You will receive a progress update every two weeks, detailing how the matching process is going and any new developments or opportunities that arise.

Return Policy and Process: Since our services are based on hours of tutoring, test prep, or counseling, there are no returns for services once a package is purchased. If you are dissatisfied with your initial tutor, we offer the opportunity to match you with another tutor. We aim to ensure your satisfaction by providing alternative tutor options at no additional charge.

Cancellation Policy: Dewey Smart does not allow cancellations of purchased tutoring, test prep, or admissions counseling packages. However, the hours purchased may be used for tutoring or counseling sessions for different siblings within the same family. If you need to reschedule or adjust an appointment, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance.

3. Third-Party Tools. We use third-party tools to deliver our services and process information, including:

Zoom: For virtual tutoring and counseling sessions.
Practice: For scheduling and communications.
Airtable: For tracking student progress and managing administrative tasks.
Salesmate CRM: For managing customer relationships and communications.

These third-party tools have their own privacy policies, and by using our services, you agree to their terms as well. We ensure that all third-party services we use comply with privacy and security standards.

4. Data Retention. We retain your personal and student data for a period of 7 years to comply with legal and business obligations. You may request to delete your data at any time by contacting us. Once data is deleted, it will be permanently removed from our systems.

5. Data SecurityWe take the security of your personal and student information seriously. All collected data is encrypted both in transit and at rest to ensure the highest level of security. We use industry-standard encryption protocols and secure storage methods to protect your data from unauthorized access.
